Is Philly’s Fashion Week Reaching Its Full Potential? Philadelphia Fashion Week Couture Show Finale

Philadelphia, PA (US)-This year was a unique year for Philly Fashion Week during the Spring/Summer Collection for 2015. In connection with the Philadelphia Collection, Philadelphia Fashion Week is in its 11th Season and still has the ability to go strong.

When we last attended PFW for the Fall/Winter Collection, it was packed from wall to wall with fashion enthusiasts of fellow writers, stylists, showroom owners and Philly’s fashion elite that included a few celebrities. There was also the presentation from Project Runway’s Season 12 winner, Dom Streater that blew everyone right out of their seats. read more

New York Fashion Week (NYC)—The DARKOH Spring/Summer Menswear Presentation at The Designer’s Loft on Monday, September 8th was a perfect combination of trendy and sensible styles making for a successful line.

This year’s collection was catered to both the young businessman and the contemporary man who is devoted to being confident, successful, and appropriately provocative.

Joyce Darkoh, a German designer and graduate of Germany’s prestigious Modeschule Schloss Eller, has taken off since her brand’s launch in 2013. Her pieces have really made its mark in the sophisticated world of menswear. read more

New York Fashion Weekend (NYC)–  The Marquette Collection by Ty’ron Perrin show on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 elegantly unveiled the city of love in an artistic array of sheer elegance, royal treasures, showcasing the brilliance of Paris.

Ty’ron Perrin, a 25-year-old self-taught designer and Philadelphia Native, got to show off his Spring/Summer 2015 collection entitled, Parisian Nights, during New York City Fashion Weekend which was sponsored by Yonker’s KIA, Golf & Body NYC, ICU Network, Embrace Magazine, Divine Influence PR, Gio Global Management, and MJ International and it is was a success. read more

This Fashionista was chosen as our “Fashionista of the Day in Pearls” because she shows that there is nothing wrong with being laid back, in fact, you can make it fashionable.

Nicoleta, style blogger of Oteea Land, showed off her style with a cat print top, faux pearl necklace, ripped jeans from Front Row Shop, and fun metallic heels and bag.

We love when people can turn a simple outfit into something fashionable and with the pearls and we think this Fashionista did just that! Take a look at the kitten n the shirt… so cute! The denim jeans are fun and the pearl colored shoes are the perfect touch. read more

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (NYC)–  The Mark and Estel show at Lincoln Center in New York City, on Friday, September 5th 2014 was just what everyone expected—fun and fashionably chic!

The crowd poured in by the hundreds with attendees well-endowed in fashion with titles like fashion editors, journalists, bloggers, stylists and fashion professionals.  All those in attendance were ready to see the much anticipated show of Mark and Estel’s Spring/Summer 2015 line.

The energy of the show created lots of buzz with fashion enthusiasts sitting with anticipation waiting for the show to begin.  As we waited for the fashionably late show to begin, we at Pearl’s Only, had the moment to take a look back into Mark and Estel’s claim of fame. The husband and wife team, are best known for their upbeat fashion shows filled with striking clothing that can be worn right off the runway, and their out-of-the-box live performances which makes them dynamic rock stars! read more
